It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of NORMAN RONALD ANDERSON, in his 83rd year, on Thursday, August 31st, 2017. Loving husband of Julia Anderson for 63 years and brother to Russell Anderson (Mary Lou). Beloved dad of Elizabeth, David, Vickie (Peter), Cathy (Rick) and John (Debbie). Grandpa of Christine, Joseph, Sarah-Beth, Matthew, Jason, Megan-Rose, Krysta-Lee, Derek and Tabatha. Great-Grandpa to Abby, Olivia and Langston. Retired employee of Ontario Hydro after 37 years of devoted service, which included 3 years with R.A.P.P. Commissioning Team in India. His passions included sailing, swimming, travelling, woodworking and reading. Was a member of the Canadian Power & Sail Squadron and YMCA. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in ICU at the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre. There will be a private family burial at the Sanctuary Park Cemetery in Port Elgin. Condolences can be made at an open celebration of life on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Port Elgin United Church. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Grey Bruce Health Services Foundations would be appreciated by the family.
