Peacefully at Lee Manor on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, in her 91st year. Nancy Joan Shears (nee Horton), the beloved wife of the late James Wilson Shears (2004). The loving mother of Wilson Timothy Shears (Tim) and his wife Sandra, Carol Anne Morley and her husband Quentin, Deborah Joanne Sparks and her partner Dan and Kevin James Christopher Shears and his wife Kim. The loved grandmother of Chad and Cassandra Shears, Meaghan, Kaitlin and Piper Morley and Mason and Ireland Shears and great-grandmother of Jack and Quinn. Predeceased by her brothers R.P. Horton (Phil), Edward F. Horton (Ted) and her sister Marian Clare. Nancy was born to Frank and Pearl (nee Middlebro’) Horton on July 14, 1925 in Owen Sound. Mom devoted her life to raising and providing a loving home for her family. We will miss you Mom. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on 3 South at Lee Manor for their kindness and compassion. As per Nancy’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
