Greta Brown

Passed away peacefully surrounded by prayer, with her daughter Leanne at her side, at Southampton Hospital on Saturday, December 10, 2016.   Greta Brown (nee Barnes) of Port Elgin at the age of 86.   Loving wife of the late Robert “Bert” Brown.   Devoted mother of Leanne Brown of Port Elgin and Mark Brown of Vermont.   Also survived by her granddaughter Alina Brown.   Predeceased by her sister Muriel Nuttall.   Cremation has taken place.   A Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Greta will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, Port Elgin on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11 a.m.   Interment of ashes in Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin in the spring.   Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.   Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
