Steve Ellis

Peacefully, with family at his side, Steve passed on to glory after a year-long battle with cancer on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at age 67.

Steve was adored by wife Deb, much loved by children Becky (Mike), Chris (Kristine) and David (Ashley), and was a cherished “Grampie” to Cameron, Nyah, Callum, Isaiah, Brayden, Jackson, Corbin and Skye. He will also be greatly missed by father-in-law and friend, Doug.  Steve was predeceased by his dear sister Jan, mother Shirley, father Doug and mother-in-law June. He is lovingly remembered by sister Deb (Ray) and brother Tim (Margaret), and many nieces and nephews.

Steve is also remembered fondly by the many students (and their families) that he taught during his career at Timothy Christian School, Barrie, Keppel-Sarawak Elementary School, Owen Sound, Crestwicke Christian Academy, Guelph and Fellowship Christian School, Kitchener.  He also taught night classes at Heritage College in Cambridge.

Family and friends of Steve are invited to his Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, November 16th at 1 p.m. at Sauble Christian Fellowship Church. There will be light refreshments served after the service.

Steve requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the building fund of Sauble Christian Fellowship Church, a work that his parents began along with four other couples.

Our family would like to thank the many, many health professionals who participated in Steve’s care this past year. You are too numerous to mention individually, but your kindness and support were so very much appreciated.
