Ruth Huellemann

Ruth Huellemann of R.R.1, Elmwood passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Sunday, March 15, 2020.  She was 81.  Born in Mannheim, Germany on March 5, 1939 to the late August and Maria Meissner.  Ruth moved from Kitchener to Durham in 1978 where she worked at Interforest until 1999.  Ruth and her husband Paul then bought Blue Water Lakes Campground in Crawford, which they operated until their retirement in 2006.  She is survived by her husband Paul, daughter Erika (Gus) Kyriakou of R.R.3, Elmwood, son Werner Meissner of Durham, stepson Ricky Huellemann of Toronto, stepdaughter Rita (Gary) Schurr of New Lowell, grandchildren Jennifer, Andy, Corey, Jordan and Shannon and great grandchildren John, Kyle, Cyrus, Sachary and Seairra.  Sister of Jergen and Verra, both of Germany. Also survived by nephew Manfred (Sheila) Werle and their family Angela (Daryl), Andrew (Vicki) and Michael (Christine).   At Ruth’s request, cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services 519-371-8507.
