With heavy hearts we share the passing of Dan Kinch of Hanover on the 27th of March, 2020 (originally from Tignish, P.E.I.), in his 85th year.

Dear brother of Betty Walsh, Benny and Jim, and brother-in-law of Isobel Kinch and Sandra Kinch. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Mary (infant), Bob, Sister Jeannette, Eugene, David, Paul and Barbara.

Dan will be greatly missed by all those who knew him, especially his cousins, godchildren and three generations of nieces and nephews – each of whom are blessed with their own special relationship with their “Uncle Danny”.  Dan made many dear friends through his work and his church.  He spent most of his career in education, teaching and supporting children, youth and adults.  This continued after retirement through his volunteer work.  He was passionate in his Catholic faith and enjoyed nothing more than a great debate on theological philosophies and their applications in everyday life.

Dan, son, brother, uncle, godfather and friend, always said that music, friends and family were the highlights of his life and he was grateful for all.

A memorial mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Those wishing to make a donation in Dan’s memory are asked to consider Chapman House (www.greybrucecremation).   Dan’s family expresses their deepest appreciation to the staff at Chapman House Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Dan.

Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services 519-371-8507.

Condolences for Dan Kinch
