Paul Baggett

Passed away peacefully at his Francis Lake home with Anja by his side on Friday, November 6, 2020 at the age of 76.  Paul was the beloved husband and best friend of Anja Pieper for 40 years.  Loving father of his daughters Dawn McGinty (Sab) and April Menegotto (Loris).  He will be missed by his sisters Donna Tanner and Sandra (Brian) Zettler.  Brother-in- law of Ben (Kairn), Deany, Brenda (Kirk) and Arlene (Mauro).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews who will be able to share some funny Uncle Paul stories with their children.  Predeceased by his parents Donald and Florence Baggett and brother Tom.  Paul retired early and moved to Francis Lake. Paul and Anja did a lot of golfing together and met some of their most special friends at the golf courses.  Summers were spent enjoying life at the lake with family and friends, where he loved to read, fish off the dock and have a visit with the neighbours.  For 20 years, winters were spent in North Myrtle Beach with winter friends that quickly became family.  Many laughs and pitchers of beer were shared on the back porch of Diamondback Golf Course. Paul will be remembered for being a great hugger.  We are so thankful for such amazing family, neighbours and friends in Canada and the U.S.A. that have supported us through his 3 year struggle with cancer.  Many thanks to the personal and compassionate care given from CarePartners Team 7 and the oncology department at the Owen Sound Hospital.  Cremation has taken place.  At Paul’s request, there will be no service.  Memorial donations to Pancreatic Cancer Canada or the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services 519-371-8507.
