Karen Golka

January 27, 1962 – March 17, 2021

We regretfully announce the passing of Karen Salina Golka (Cochrane), who passed away on March 17, 2021. Karen had a difficult battle with lung cancer and is finally at peace. She will be forever loved and fondly remembered as a loving wife to Peter Golka, adoring mother to Robyn (Neil) and Ryan (Cassie) and beloved grandmother to Brooklyn and Avah. Karen is predeceased by her mother Freida (Cochrane), father Bob and in-laws Doreen and Pete. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Robert, Heather, Kim, Kirsty and Kirk. Karen was a much loved sister-in-law to Corinne, Francine, Mary Jane and Lori. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by her many cousins and friends.  Karen’s love of family, zest for life and kind heart will be remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.  Special thanks to Dr.’s Hodgson and Barfoot and everyone on the Owen Sound Pain Management team for their care in ensuring Karen’s dignity and comfort.  Cremation and a private family service have taken place.
