Elsbeth (Beth) Dawson

Peacefully passed away at Summit Place, Owen Sound on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the age of 84.  Beloved wife of Captain Grant Dawson for 65 years.  Loving mother of Cheryl Dawson (Brad Hood), Jeffrey Dawson and Krista Bell (Brent).  Dear grandmother of David, Padraic, Matthew, Bethany, Lauren and Anna and great grandmother of Lily-Ann.  Also survived by her brother David Preston (Claire).  Predeceased by her parents Alan and Jean Preston and brothers Ian and Noel.  Beth was a professional figure skater and taught many children in the Grey Bruce area.  Golf was a passion that filled her summers and she will be missed by all her friends on the course.  Beth was also a dedicated volunteer working with palliative care at GBRHC.  Cremation has taken place.  A Graveside Memorial will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Georgian Bluffs at a later date.  Thank you to all the health care workers at Summit Place; they are truly amazing.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Chapman House would be appreciated.  Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
