Siebea Vandestadt

Vandestadt Photo (2)

On August 4th, 2021 Siebea’s spirit left her body and is now soaring again without any restrictions.  Born in the fall of 1938 she always loved the colours and smells of that special season.  In 1960 she married Hubert and both came to Canada.  She worked as a Medical Record Librarian, doctor’s secretary and became mother to Donovan Vandestadt and Ingrid VanHorne (Johnalex).  Always interested in healthy eating, she taught her family about secret wine, tiger milk and Macrobiotic foods.  She loved horses, dogs and cats, playing the piano, the beach, sailing, writing, candlelight dinners with friends and giving cooking lessons.  For the last 4 years she resided at Country Lane in Chatsworth where the wonderful staff lovingly cared for her until her passing.  Along with her husband and kids she will be missed by her grandson Alex VanHorne, sister Teddy Noya, brother Otto Visser (Paulien) and sister-in-law Johanna Wit, all of Owen Sound.  Also missed by brother-in-law Han van de Stadt and sister-in-law Marjon Kools, both in the Netherlands and many nephews and nieces.  Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Siebea’s life will take place in the near future.  Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society Grey Bruce or any charity of your choice if you wish.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com.

Condolences for Siebea Vandestadt
