Gordon Smith

It is with sadness, love and profound gratitude the family of Gordon Robert Smith announces his passing on December 25, 2021 at the age of 67.

Forever remembered by his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon (Rapp) Smith, his children Amanda Smith, Twila Smith (Rick), Chad Smith and granddaughter Grace Smith. Also remembered by his brother John Smith (Anne) as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Gord was born on December 11, 1954 and his passion in life aside from his wife Sharon and his 3 children, has always been sports. His involvement in sports throughout his life was endless.  He was well known for his dedication and commitment from scouting, billeting, managing, coaching and playing himself. His determination to win, and desire to be the best he could be in whatever task he took on, was something to be respected, appreciated, and admired.  Gord will forever be remembered especially around the arenas and ball fields and all that knew him will fondly remember “If you’re not looking… you’re not listening”.

In honour of Gord’s wishes no funeral services will be held.  A celebration of life will be held in the future, when the warmer weather approaches.  Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
