Larry Gibbons

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Keith Gibbons on March 6, 2023 at the age of 67 after a hard fought battle with esophageal cancer.  He passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family.  Loving husband and best friend of Sheila (Kingston) for 42 years.  Loving and devoted father of Craig, Bradley, Alicia Ingels (Brad) and Meghan.  Larry was a proud Popa and had a special spot in his heart for his grandchildren Brayden and Ava Gibbons and Lucas and Jaxon Ingels.  Dear brother to Joyce Primeaux (Lou), Ron (Sarah), Lorna Tweedy, Jerry (Frances) and Bev Hilliard (Wayne).  Brother-in-law to Maxine Kingston (Bill), Dennis Kingston (Debbie) and Linda Gibbons.  Larry will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends.  Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Annie, brothers Randy and Lloyd, in-laws Lloyd and Isabelle Kingston, brother-in-law Bill Tweedy and niece Jennifer.  In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held at Stone Tree Golf and Fitness on Saturday, April 8th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, Larry kindly requests donations be directed to esophageal cancer research at the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.  The family would like to thank the healthcare team at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Dr. Yeung from Toronto General Hospital.  Special thanks to Dr. Alex Hodgson for her exemplary end of life care.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com.
