Andrew William ALVIN Green, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at the Hanover and District Hospital on Friday, December 8, 2017.  He was 83 years old. Born on July 22, 1934 in Buchanan Township to the late Andrew and Margaret Green.  He grew up in Rutherglen, Ontario and enjoyed much of his time at the family camp on Lake Talon.  He tried his hand at being a lineman and then the ready-mix cement business before finding his dream job as a heavy equipment operator.  He had a passion for woodworking and many own examples of his creations.

Survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years, Meryle Green and by his children Lynn (Judi) Green of High River, Alberta, Brenda (Bill) Campbell of Hanover, Bruce (Glenda) Green of Barrie and Brent (Connie) Green of Corbetton. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Brandon (Renee), Bowe (Eve), Miles (Ashley), Mackenzie, Justin (Emma), Steven (Miranda), Jenny (Joey) and Matthew (Candice) and great grandchildren Dallas, Rayne, Aden, Avalynn, Aurora, Keaton and Callie.  Fondly remembered by brothers and sisters Doris, Zella, Teresa (Allan), Annabelle (Bryan), Jim (Mary), Wayne (Linda), Garnet (Bertha), Erna (Mike).

A private Celebration of Life was held in Hanover and a memorial is planned at the family camp on Lake Talon in the summer of 2018.  Cremation has taken place.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
