Peter Wight
Suddenly passed away with his family by his side at Victoria Hospital, London on Friday, April 5, 2019. Peter Wight of Durham, in his 63rd year. Peter is the son of Leone Wight of Flesherton and the late George Wight. Loving husband of Gale (née Dodd) for 42 years. Dear father of Chris (Crystal) of Dundalk, Jason of Durham and Vanessa of London. Cherished grandpa of Gonzi, Jackson, Gael, Dylan and Riley. Also survived by his sisters Georgina (Peter) Symons, Wilda (Paul) Allen and Sherry (Bruce) Armstrong, brothers Ron (Heather) and Gary (Ruth), sisters-in-law Sandra Dodd (Greg), Susan (Gerry) Meyer, Lorri (Jack) Murdoch and Nancy (Bruce) Holliday, brother-in-law Lyle (Debbie) Dodd and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Gale’s parents Merlin “Mook” and Shirley Dodd. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to the Royal Canadian Legion, Durham on Saturday, April 13th from 12 – 2 p.m. to share memories and celebrate Peter’s life.
