J.C. Murray Gauley
August 5, 1930 – September 7, 2019
Murray Gauley passed away in Owen Sound on Saturday, September 7, 2019 just a month after celebrating his 89th birthday. Murray was predeceased by his wife and best friend Marion (married in 1954), son Robert and sister Helen Reagan. Loving father of the late Bob (Janet), Colleen (the late Falk Gruenwald), and Michael (Cindy). Cherished grandfather of Taryn (Dave O’Reilly), Lyndsey (Curtis Morrow), Matthew and Krista Gruenwald, Bronwyn and Calvin Gauley and proud great grandfather to Hadlee and Camden Morrow and Koen and Rhiannon O’Reilly. Murray will also be missed by the many members of the extended Gauley and Sinclair families. Murray, Dad, Papa, Poppie, Uncle Murray was happiest when surrounded by his family.
Murray was born and raised in Baxter, Ontario and remained connected to this community over the years. After many years of hard work and living with his family in various towns Murray and Marion retired to Wasaga Beach where they resided for the past 20 years plus. They developed wonderful friendships with new neighbors and enjoyed golfing at the Marlwood Golf & Country Club. Murray and Marion enjoyed the pleasures of travelling and vacation, heading down to the warmth of Florida in the Canadian winter months. Murray lived a great life and will be truly missed by many.
