Helen “Eileen” Bates

With tender hearts we announce the passing of Helen “Eileen” Bates (nee Mckay) on December 19, 2019 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Stewart “Nort” Bates (1981).  Loving mom of Sandra (Murray) Adams of Meaford, Margie and Rick Bates of Port Elgin. Proud grandma of Randy, Brad and Kyle Adams. Proud Nana of Calla Bates. Great grandma of Riley Adams. Dear sister of Arnold McKay and his wife Shirley. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Alice McKay; her siblings David (Joan) McKay; Russell; Jean (Cliff) Noble; Hugh (Glenna); Cameron and Gordon. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Summit Place in Owen Sound for the great care that they gave to Mom. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements for a service in the spring.
