Elroy “Roy” Smith

Elroy passed away peacefully at the GBRHC on Thursday morning, February 20^th 2020 in his 96^th year.  Son of the late Jim and Evelyn Smith and beloved husband of the late Elda Smith (Foster).  Dear father of Gaye (Audrey) of Paisley, Lyndy Barfoot of Kemble, Kirby (Brenda) of Burlington and Randy (Laura) of Lucan.  Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by sisters-in-law Pat Foster of Owen Sound and Orlean Foster of St. Catharines.  Predeceased by sister Audrey and brother-in-law Jim Lumley, sister-in-law Jean Moore, sister and brother-in-law Marg and Gordon Flood, brother-in-law Ivan Foster and son-in-law Barry Barfoot.  A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Owen Sound on Saturday, April 4^th from 1 – 3 p.m. (cancelled – to be rescheduled).  As an expression of sympathy donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
