Nancy Cameron

On Friday May 15, 2020 Nancy Cameron passed away peacefully.  After having survived a 5 month hospitalization for encephalitis last summer and fall, Nancy was determined to rebuild her life and was doing so well. But instead of being able to enact her dream of a summer with friends, she passed away from a catastrophic cerebral bleed.  Nancy was a gentle, loving and beautiful soul who embraced her relationship with her many friends. She was a registered nurse who worked with veterans who have experienced post-traumatic stress. Nancy was a compassionate nurse whose counseling had a profound impact on those with whom she worked.  Nancy leaves behind her friend/sister of very many years, Sandy DeLuca. As well she leaves her beloved friends Martha McMeekin and Sylvia Jewell among many others.  Special friend to Shirley Rainer (deceased).  Life for Nancy was about love, friendship, support, caring and giving. She is the daughter of Eleanor (Skinner) Cameron and George Cameron (deceased). She is the sister of Barbie (deceased) and Hugh (deceased). As well Nancy is first mother of Lilly Bean and of seven bassets.  Nancy would want you to remember her as a loving friend and as someone who believed in the human spirit to make the world a better place. A celebration of Nancy’s life will take place on a sunny, warm day at a later date.  Donations may be made to the Veteran’s Wing at Parkwood Hospital, London or the Basset Rescue of Ontario.  Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
