Peter Eastwood

Peter Eastwood, peacefully in his sleep, on Friday, January 8, 2020, at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his wife, of 64 years, Lorraine Eastwood (nee McDiarmid).  Recently of Owen Sound after a long and happy residency at 36 Union St. in Waterdown, Ontario. He was born in Stockport, England but spent his formative years in Hawrenden, North Wales, and served his Machinist apprenticeship at the Sandycroft foundary close by there. After two years of national service with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, he immigrated to Canada and met Lorraine.  Peter worked at Stelco as a machinist from 1955 to 1988. He loved being at the cottage on Redstone Lake. He loved his gardening, his wood working, and cooking hamburgers on an open fire surrounded by grand children.
