Ambrose Pelley

1936 – 2021

Ambrose Lester Pelley, age 85, passed peacefully on December 19, 2021. Born in Guysborough, Nova Scotia he was the son of the late Murray and Helen (Mansfield) Pelley.  Ambrose worked at various jobs in construction as a crane/heavy machine operator.  Affectionately known as Bo he had a great sense of humour and quick wit. He had an outgoing personality and was a vivid storyteller. He easily made life-long friends. Bo liked to tinker with mechanics and would pick things apart and put it back together. He loved dogs and cats and was a tea totaller.  He was predeceased by his wife Marion Furlong, brothers Ralph, Bernard and Richard and nephews Robert and Ralph. Survived by brothers Roger of Wiarton, George of Toronto and Franklin of Guysborough, sisters Hanna of Ottawa, Evelyn of Kingston, Rita of Calgary, Lois of Antigonish and Brenda of Toronto, nephews Duane and David both of Toronto and many nieces and nephews.  The family would like to express gratitude to the Southampton Care Centre, Southampton, Ontario for the exceptional care provided by the staff where he resided since 2009.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no service provided.
