Margaret “Marlo” Laura Nagel

Pink Rose Picture

October 26, 1946 – November 10, 2022

Passed away peacefully with family by her side in Owen Sound.  Daughter of the late Melvin and Margaret Munford (nee Fleming) of Harriston.  Loving wife to the late John Paul Nagel (2013). Proud mother of Jason Nagel and his wife Kim of Chatsworth. Grandmother of Laura “Ashley” Nagel and fiance Michael Baker of Kitchener and Justin Nagel of Chatsworth. Proud mother of Bridget Nagel. Grandmother of Lukas, John and Kaelum.  Marlo was the youngest of 5 children. Sister of Harold Munford and his wife Irene of Thunder Bay, Rodney Munford (predeceased) and his wife Gail of Vermilion Bay, Lionel Munford (predeceased) and his wife Annie of Calabogie and Janis Aucoin (nee Munford) (predeceased) and her husband Gilles of Calabogie.  Aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Cousin of Bill and Linda Sumerton, Carol and Perry Valle, and Nancy Dougan all of Michigan.  A special thank you to Dr. Cox for her attentive and compassionate care and the many health care professionals at Georgian Heights, both past and present, who cared for her well being. Marlo and John owned a cleaning company together and for several years cleaned at Edwards where they met many friends. Together, they operated the Owen Sound Westside boat launch and later, when constructed, the Eastside boat launch up to their retirement. They employed many friends and family members and enjoyed those they met locally and long distances. Marlo was well known at the “Eastside” Tim Horton’s where she got together with friends in the evenings.  She was a card player, avid reader, talented artist, animal lover, thrift shopper and lottery hopeful.  She enjoyed online games to help keep her “sharp.”  Marlo enjoyed her cars, “Ruby” most of all!  There will be a private family service.  Care entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, many thanks for your assistance.  If so desired, memorial donations may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Red Cross.

Condolences for Margaret “Marlo” Laura Nagel
