Doug Kellough

April 2, 1934 – January 9, 2024

Doug gave his last breath Tuesday, January 9th. Some of his last words were:  take me out of the game.  As he was an excellent hip checking hockey player, (Mercuries, Greys and farmed Maple Leafer) we knew what he meant.  Tough as nails, loved joking with family (that is why Mitch locked grandpa in the pigeon pen), tender hearted, loved his girls Ruth, Roxanne and Kim, a happy dancer, music enthusiast, hunter, lover of dogs, birds and rabbits, carver, painter, builder and gardener.  He achieved all he sought.  He will be forever loved by his wife Ruth, daughter Kim and much loved grandson Mitchell (Ashlynn), his sister Shirley and all his family.  Doug had recently welcomed two great grandsons, Henry and Jack, and into the family.  Special thanks to Melissa for her companionship, warm heart and good hugs.  Thanks to the staff at Georgian Heights and Southbridge for the honour guard and to those who made a difference, you know who you are.

He looked above him and when asked what he saw he said,
A lady and she wants to take me on a trip.
Away he went
Rox was waiting.

In lieu of donations please:
Give someone a warm smile
A helping hand
Have a good laugh
And pet your animals a lot!

Memorial will be announced at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services.
